How will the newspaper be read in the future?
On which device, in which format?
How will it feel?

In collaboration with the daily newspaper Information we have challenged the way we read news today and found new ways to experience news, combining the physical experience of the paper newspaper with the possibilities of the digital formats and new reading devices.

The project looked at what defines a newspaper reading experience, and critically
investigated what the digital and the paper reading experience has to offer. The target audience for the new digital newspaper were defined by creating personas and their expected usage situations were described in scenarios. In
a series of brainstorm sessions, Usable Machine facilitated that new concepts
and ideas took shape. The best ideas were picked out, and a guided design
process led to final designs.

On this basis, one or more prototypes will be used to measure end users' and domain expert's
opinion and acceptance. We will then pick out the best concept or concepts and complete
the design details.

Usable Machine planned and led the project, facilitated analysis and brainstorms, and created the interaction design. The product has not launched yet.
